If you are using the "wet" method, you can use a simple soap solution made of a drop or two of dish soap to one quart of water. It would be best to use this solution for beginners and make sure to apply a good amount on the surface for at least 30-40 seconds in order to prepare the surface prior to installation. We recommend using professional 3M certified installers for the installation of these vinyl graphics. Q: How do I take care of vinyl graphics?
A:Taking care of your vinyl graphics is easy! Hand washing of your vehicle and its graphics is recommended. Avoid abrasive materials, petroleum distillates (such as tar removers) and car washes that use brushes or high pressure. About 6 weeks after the graphics are applied you can use automotive wax over your vehicle, but avoid products designed for cleaning and waxing in a single step as they contain more solvents, which could affect the graphics. Overall very pleased with the product. What arrived in the mail wasn't the one I ordered but I went with them and it turned out great. I ordered the textless ones but got the Silverado ones. I put them on and debadged the rest of the truck (as to not overdo the Silverado nameplates). The gloss back stripes on the blue metallic paint is a subtle addition that sets it apart from the rest. Would definitely recommend it. Easy install if you follow the directions.

I bought and installed these stripes for my 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 regular cab with an 8 foot bed. The graphics went on without a problem, and they look great. The piece behind the rear wheel was a little short for my liking on my truck, so I just didn't include it and you would never miss it. My stripes came with a plastic (rather than paper) backing, and as a result it was harder to get all of the water out from under the stripes during installation, as you couldn't count on excess water to dry, even when left over night. If you're careful, it's not a problem, and it adds a sporty dimension to your truck. I would definitely purchase these again.
